LAWRENCEVILLE — A 70-year-old Lawrenceville man has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of 44-year-old Anthony Collins.
Homicide detectives say they received information on this murder that identified Stanley Elliot as the suspect in the case. Investigators met with Elliot Feb. 26 and arrested him at his home for Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During a Felony.
Gwinnett Police responded to a call about a man lying in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Riverside Parkway. When officers arrived, they found Collins’ dead body lying outside a car.
The Medical Examiner arrived and during the investigation found a gunshot wound on the Collins.
The motive for this murder is still unknown. Elliot is being held at the Gwinnett County Jail.
