Vice President Mike Pence will make his way to Georgia today to speak at a campaign rally for Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.

The rally comes just a day after a poll showing that republicans hold a narrow lead in the Senate race and three days after the Electoral College confirmed Joe Biden as President-Elect.

The rally will be held in Macon.

For those living and working in Macon, traffic will be affected from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is urging motorists to avoid Industrial Park Drive to alleviate the impact of traffic on local businesses.

Drivers should also be prepared for traffic delays along Highway 247, Industrial Highway and Cochran Field Road during these event times.

Attendees are asked to enter the assigned parking areas from Cochran Field Road to Airport Drive for parking only. The Sheriff’s Department is asking that all participants of the event park in the assigned areas. Any vehicles parked outside of the assigned areas are subject to be towed at the owner’s expense.
