A suspect in the killing of a 15-year-old boy has turned himself in to the Coffee County Jail, authorities say.

On Wednesday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation secured a Felony Murder arrest warrant for 18-year-old Savionte Torek Traylor, of Douglas, in connection to the death of 15-year-old Ja’rique Johan Brown, that occurred on Monday, Oct. 5.

A juvenile suspect was already in custody at the Waycross Youth Detention Center in connection with the killing.

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Creekwood Rd., in Douglas Monday evening. Upon arrival, deputies found Brown dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
