26-year-old dies in Warner Robins car crash

WARNER ROBINS — A 26-year-old man has died after a car he was riding in was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Warner Robins early Tuesday morning.

According to the Warner Robins Police Dept., at 1:57 a.m., officers were called to the area of S. Houston Lake Road at Tucker Place in reference to a single vehicle accident.

Police say the preliminary investigation reveals a 2007 Lexus RX350, driven by a 23-year-old woman, was traveling south on South Houston Lake Road when the driver lost control of her vehicle. The car left the southbound lanes and struck the curbing of the concrete dividing median.

The vehicle continued traveling south, crossing over the northbound lanes, and striking the curb on the east side of the roadway. The vehicle continued traveling south, began to roll over, and struck a wooden fence at the back of 101 Tucker Place where it came to rest. 

A front seat passenger, identified as 26-year-old Eddie Thomas Davis of Americus, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to Navicent Macon for medical treatment. The accident is currently under investigation and no charges have been filed.
