While you may have the day off Labor Day, coronavirus will not be taking the day off. Fortunately, neither will Georgia’s coronavirus testing services.
If you find yourself in need of a COVID-19 test on Labor Day, the mega testing site at the Atlanta airport will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Make an appointment go to at: https://doineedacovid19test.com.
There is no charge for testing.
East Beach Causeway intersection closure in Glynn County
In order for Glynn County Public Works to facilitate the completion of the roundabout at East Beach Causeway and Demere Road, the intersection will be closed to all traffic beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2020 until September 20, 2020.
The approaches to the intersection on Demere Road between Mallery Street and Old Demere Road will be closed to through traffic as well as the approach on East Beach Causeway. Local traffic will have access to homes and businesses, but must approach from the appropriate side as the intersection will be completely closed and not allow any traffic into the construction area.
Signage will direct motorist to detours:
· All through traffic travelling South towards the intersection on Demere Road will be detoured to the Frederica Road and Kings Way.
· All through traffic travelling North on Demere Road from the Pier Village area will be detoured along Arnold Road and Ocean Boulevard to reach East Beach or Frederica Road via Kings Way.
