SAVANNAH — The Savannah Police Department is making residents aware of reports that a white male is harassing and striking women at Daffin Park.

The department says it was made aware of a couple of incidents where women have been harassed and struck by a white male while in Daffin Park, enjoying the amenities of the park.

“We were also made aware of a similar incident a few months ago, where a male was reported to have purposely bumped into an individual that was walking with a stroller and yelled at her infant child. In addition, another female just recently made a police report, stating that a male on a bicycle almost rode the bicycle into her son, then yelled at her. It is unknown if the incidents are related,” the department said on its Facebook page.

Police officials are reminding residents to make reports of incidents of harassment immediately so that police can get in the area in an attempt to locate the person responsible. Police will also need the best physical description of the subject, including height, weight, and clothing.
