VIDEO: Cobb County Police Department retakes oath of office in show of support for black community

The Cobb County Police Department is taking a firm stand against police brutality and racism, according to a video posted on the department’s Facebook page.

In the video, Police Chief Tim Cox says the department will not tolerate racism, or brutality of any form in the ranks of the police department. He then leads the officers assembled in re-taking their oath of office as an act of symbolism of their commitment to the community.

And we stand behind our words with our daily actions as we serve ALL of Cobb County,” the department said in its post.
