A 17-year-old Fulton County boy has died from coronavirus. He is the youngest person in Georgia to die from COVID-19. According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, he had a chronic condition.

As of 7 p.m. Sunday, Fulton County had 4,054 confirmed cases and 196 total deaths from coronavirus. The Department of Public Health reports that there have been 783 COVID-19 hospitalizations in Fulton County.
Statewide, Georgia has had 42,902 confirmed coronavirus cases, 7,450 hospitalizations, 1,684 ICU admissions and 1,827 deaths.
Prior to the 17-year-old’s death, the youngest person to die in Georgia was a 22-year-old woman from Muscogee County who had a chronic condition. A 25-year-old man from Decatur county also died from the virus. He had no known chronic conditions.
