18-year-old shot and killed in Savannah

SAVANNAH — An 18-year-old was shot and killed Tuesday morning on Largo Drive in Savannah.

Savannah police officers responded to the 11400 block of Largo Drive at about 11:15 a.m. and discovered 18-year-old Bilal Pinkston suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Memorial Medical Center, where he died from his injuries later that evening.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. At this time, detectives do not believe this is a random incident and continue to actively follow up on leads.
