Georgia has surpassed 1,500 coronavirus deaths with a total of 1,527 since the pandemic began.

Statewide, 35,858 people have tested positive out of 285,881 total tests processed. There have been 6,345 hospitalizations and 1,513 ICU admissions.

A Note About The Numbers: According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, the number of hospitalizations and ICU admissions may be under-reported since the hospitalization numbers only include people diagnosed with COVID-19 while hospitalized and the ICU numbers only include the ICU admission information at the time the case is reported to the department.

Fulton County has the highest number of confirmed cases and deaths in the state with 3,621 cases and 158 deaths. Dougherty County has the second highest number of deaths with 131 and Cobb County has the third highest number of deaths with 128. The only other county with more than 100 deaths is Gwinnett, which has had 101.

In terms of number of cases, after Fulton, DeKalb County has the second highest number with 2,644 confirmed cases. Gwinnett County has 2,532 confirmed cases. Cobb County has 2,334 confirmed case, Hall County has 2,119 confirmed cases and Dougherty County has 1,644 confirmed cases.

All other Georgia counties have less than 1,000 cases.
