The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that happened at 5578 Riverside Drive, Riverwalk Apartments, at 9:24 p.m. May 12.
Deputies responded to Riverwalk Apartments in regards to a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found 22-year-old Douglas Wilmale Stevenson unresponsive in his vehicle in the parking lot.
Deputies say there was a large crowd near the 100 building when an altercation started and shots were fired.
Stevenson was pronounced dead on the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. No one else was injured during the incident. There is no information on the suspect at this time.
