Attempted daylight home burglary thwarted by homeowner

BUFORD — An attempted burglary in broad daylight during a shelter-in-place order was predictably thwarted by a homeowner in Buford.

The Gwinnett County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects in the attempted residential burglary. 

On Friday, April 10, officers responded to a residential burglary on Bogan Mill Road in unincorporated Buford. 

According to police, at about 5:50 p.m., two suspects can be seen on video loitering in the victim’s back yard. Minutes later a rock was thrown through the front doors by one of the men. The victim confronted the suspects who fled on foot to a late model blue and gray two tone Chevy suburban. 

Police describe the first suspect as an older white male wearing a blue t-shirt, dark brown or camo pants and second suspect as an older black male wearing a neon yellow shirt with a black hoodie over it, blue jeans, and tan boots.
