Norcross will start streaming city council meetings over Facebook Live

NORCROSS — If you live in Norcross, you can find out what decisions your local elected officials are making and debating without leaving your house — and considering that Georgia is under a shelter-in-place order, you shouldn’t be leaving your house right now.

The City of Norcross’ Mayor and Council meetings are now available via Facebook Live. The new streaming feature is a tool for community engagement and government transparency. Residents and interested parties may view the live stream here at 6:30 p.m. tonight.

Facebook users who follow the city’s account should receive a notification that says, “The City of Norcross is now live.” Those visiting the city’s Facebook page may also view the live video there as soon as it starts.

Public comment or public hearing participation is unavailable via Facebook Live. Public comment or public hearing participation is only available to our Zoom Video Conferencing audience.

For those wishing to speak during public comment or public hearing, please access the meeting via Zoom Video Conferencing by selecting the following link to join the webinar: https://zoom.us/j/371954425
