Fulton County will spend $10 million to provide coronavirus support

Fulton County will spend $10 million in emergency funding to help residents and businesses negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Our citizens are hurting and need financial assistance now,” Fulton County Commission Chairman Robb Pitts said.

The money will be used for senior services, homelessness and relief in the form of loans to small businesses, including arts groups. “This money is to be used for direct services to our citizens and distributed as quickly as possible. Time is of the essence,” said Pitts.

The funding was unanimously approved by the Fulton County Commission.
