Missing 83-year-old Loganville man found

UPDATE: According to the Gwinnett County Police Dept., Ransford Reid was located in Troup County, Georgia. He is waiting to be reunited with his family at this time.

LOGANVILLE — The Gwinnett County Police Department needs the public’s help in locating a missing elderly Loganville man who has a diminished mental capacity and medical conditions.

Police say 83-year-old Ransford Reid was last seen at his home on Gardenside Drive in unincorporated Loganville at about 6 p.m. March 31. He left the home in his grey Jeep Grand Cherokee and did not say where we was going. The license plate number is PJB6713.

Reid was last seen wearing a cream-colored flannel shirt with blue stripes and blue jeans. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 185 pounds. 

Ransford’s wife contacted the police department again earlier today and said she found a bank transaction at a gas station in Palmetto.  There was no timeframe for when this transaction took place.

Tipsters are encouraged to call their local law enforcement agency if they find Reid. The case number is 20-027495.
