Two Charged in Connection with Shooting Death of Georgia Man

Two Crawford county residents have been charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with the shooting death of a 38-year-old man at his home in Fort Valley.

On Monday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation obtained arrest warrants for 22-year-old Ryan Purser and 20-year-old Cidney Reason and charged them both.

According to the GBI, officers responded to a deceased man discovered by family members during a welfare check March 27 at his residence on Big Six Farms Road, Fort Valley. The man was later identified as Fraddian Omar Robinson.

After the discovery of Robinson, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to conduct a death investigation.

On Saturday, March 28, information obtained from investigative acts conducted by GBI agents and Crawford County investigators led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Crawford County.

Agents and investigators collected numerous items of evidence related to the investigation that led to the charges against Purser and Reason. Other charges related to this investigation are pending further investigative acts.

A GBI Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Monday, March 30. Robinson’s cause of death is gunshot wound.
