COVID-19 has now spread to 96 of Georgia’s 159 counties. Fulton County has the highest number of reported cases with 198. DeKalb is the second highest with 116.
Dougherty county, which became a hotbed for the virus in Georgia after the virus spread through two highly attended funerals in the Albany area, has the third highest number of cases with 109.
Georgia now has a total of 1,247 cases with 394 people hospitalized and 40 deaths. 31.6% of confirmed cases are hospitalized.
COVID-19 still effects younger age groups more than those over 60 with 60% of cases occurring in 18 to 59 year olds. Those 60 and older account for 35% of cases.
A total of 6,179 tests have been processed statewide.
