Police Search for Clues in Fatal Hit-and-run That Killed 24-year-old Georgia Man

Law enforcement officials in Paulding County are searching for information that could help them find a suspect in the fatal hit-and-run death of 24-year-old Aaron Quarterman March 5.

According to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Department, A motorist called 911 March 6 who said they thought a body was laying on the side of Dallas Acworth Highway just south of Cedarcrest Road. Deputies responded to 8575 Dallas Acworth Highway in Dallas where they found a man’s body lying on the side of the roadway.

The Georgia State Patrol was called in to head up the investigation. Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and immediately launched their investigation.

Troopers believe that the victim was struck as he walked down the side of Dallas Acworth Highway. Troopers also believe that the incident took place between 9 p.m. and 12 a.m.March 5.The suspect vehicle should have damage to the front right portion of the grill, hood, and bumper according to Troopers.

Due to evidence left on the scene, Troopers say they believe the suspect vehicle could possibly be one of the following makes and models:

1988-1993 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2500, 3500

1988-1993 Chevrolet Tahoe

1988-1993 GMC Sierra 1500, 2500, 3500

1988-1993 GMC Yukon

Possible Colors: Blue, White, or Gray
