Another Georgia resident has tested positive for coronavirus. The patient has tested positive for the virus and that test is awaiting confirmation from the CDC. That brings the total number of cases in Georgia to five confirmed cases with two additional presumptive cases, one in Fulton County and the other in Gwinnett County.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, initial testing of the Fulton resident was completed today at the Georgia Public Health Laboratory. The individual is hospitalized, and the source of the exposure is not known.

Currently, there are five confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Georgia – three in Fulton County, one in Polk County, which was previously reported as Floyd County and one in Cobb County.

Confirmatory tests by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are pending on the two presumptive positive tests.
