Search continues for Georgia man wanted for arson

MORGAN COUNTY — Authorities are still searching for a Morgan County man they believe set fire to a pickup truck and a house last year.

On Jan. 31, the Morgan County Grand Jury indicted 30-year-old Clifford Cole Walker for two counts of Arson in the First Degree and one count of Arson in the Second Degree. The charges stem from his alleged involvement in setting two fires at a property in Morgan County on March 9, 2019.

“Walker is accused of setting fire to a pickup truck in the driveway and then setting fire to the residence on the property,” said Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King. “If anyone has any information on his whereabouts, please contact our Fire Investigations Unit at 1‐800‐282‐5804.”

The Fire Investigations Unit is assisting the Morgan County Fire Department with this investigation.

First Degree Arson is a felony punishable by a fine of no more than $50,000 or by a prison term between one and twenty years, or both.
