Georgia elementary school teacher accused of shoving 7-year-old students

MACON — A Bibb County elementary school teacher has been arrested and charged with simple battery against two 7-year-olds.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators served arrest warrants on 53-year-old Roger Edward Clark this morning, for two counts of Simple Battery.

Clark is a school teacher at L.H. Williams Elementary School. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, it was reported that on Jan. 8, Clark aggressively handled two seven-year-old male students.

Sheriff’s officials say Clark aggressively snatched one student from his desk, causing his feet to leave the ground. Clark then held the student against the wall with his feet off the ground, and shoved the child after releasing him, causing the boy to fall.

Clark allegedly carried the second student by his arms, where his feet were off the ground. Clark then held this student against the wall and shoved him when he let him go, sheriff’s dept. officials say.

Clark was booked into the Bibb Law Enforcement Center on charges of two counts of Simple Battery.  He has a bond of $1,300.00.
