28-year-old man killed in New Year's Eve shooting in Savannah

SAVANNAH — A 28-year-old man is dead following a New Year’s Eve shooting in Savannah.

According to the Savannah Police Department, at about 3:20 p.m. officers responded to Wilder Drive at Avery Street and discovered Tommy Frazier suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was transported to a hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Detectives identified 40-year-old Harry Pinckne as a suspect in the case. Pinckney was arrested in the late hours of Dec. 31 on charges of murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
