Fire breaks out at downtown Duluth restaurant

DULUTH — Gwinnett County Firefighters battled a blaze at a restaurant in downtown Duluth Monday night, containing the fire in about 25 minutes.

The fire occurred at the Mediterranean Grill, located on Lawrenceville Street and Main Street in downtown Duluth.

The business was closed at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The fire was contained to the restaurant and caused extensive damage on the interior. Three adjoining businesses has only smoke damage. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
