Hall County begins search for new Public Works chief

HALL COUNTY — Hall County’s Public Works chief Ken Rearden has announced his resignation, prompting some changes to the county’s staffing.

Srikanth Yamala, who most recently served as Director of Hall County Planning and Development, has been tapped to fill the role of Acting Director of Public Works.

“We appreciate Ken’s leadership and expertise in the realm of Public Works and for the advancements that he made for Hall County and its citizens during his tenure here,” said Hall County Administrator Jock Connell.

Rearden has served as director of Hall County Public Works since 2008.

In light of Yamala’s move to Public Works, Sarah McQuade now assumes the role of Acting Director of Hall County Planning and Development. McQuade most recently served as Planning Manager for Hall County.

Both Yamala and McQuade will be serving in these positions until a permanent replacement for Rearden is selected.
