Simon, a global leader in premier shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use destinations, today announced a collaboration with Life Time, the premier healthy lifestyle brand, to host complimentary LifePower yoga classes at Phipps Plaza throughout the summer.

“Life Time’s new luxury club concept at Phipps Plaza will be a striking addition to the reimagined center,” said Randall Jackson, Director of Marketing for Phipps Plaza. “This is just a preview of the new experiences and first-to-market concepts guests will discover as the center’s redevelopment comes to life.”

The LifePower summer pop-up classes will be offered on a first come first serve basis each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the north wing of Phipps Plaza through Aug. 28. Participants will enjoy a yoga class providing mental and physical benefits with dynamic sequences that link breath with movement  promoting deep stretching and mobility. Each week, participants are also invited to visit Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, located on Mall level one across from Arhaus, for a complementary refreshment following the class.

“No matter if you’re in one of our Life Time clubs throughout Atlanta or here at Phipps Plaza where our newest Life Time is being built, we all need to take time for ourselves—to breathe, to move, to be,” said Leah Quartararo, Regional Manager of Group Fitness Programming. “Creating this series, curated and taught by our Life Time performers, including Mila Burgess, is something we believe many will benefit from in their daily lives and we’re excited for Wednesday nights at the Plaza!”

The 60-minute sampler series will offer Atlantans a sneak peek into the Life Time experience – a resort-style healthy living and entertainment destination. The high-end athletic club will offer members and guests the ultimate in exclusive group fitness, yoga and cycle classes; small group and personal training; a full-service LifeSpa; a fast-casual LifeCafe; a Life Time Kids Academy; and a lavish rooftop pool, beach club and bistro. The club will feature three-levels and encompass 90,000 sq. feet. Life Time currently operates six other clubs throughout the greater Atlanta market.

Simon recently announced that the demolition phase of Phipps Plaza’s highly-anticipated redevelopment is now complete, and the first phase of construction is officially underway. The transformative project will have a phased opening beginning in early 2021.
