NORCROSS — Gwinnett Police need the public’s help in located a vehicle and driver involved in a fatal hit and run collision.

On Saturday, July 20, shortly before midnight, officers responded to a call in reference to a man lying in the road on Beaver Ruin Road in unincorporated Norcross.

The caller said it appeared the man had been struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived they located a man, later identified as 38 year old Kevin Brown of Norcross. Brown was unresponsive in the roadway and was transported to an area hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Investigators have determined that Brown was struck by a vehicle while he appeared to be crossing the roadway.

The vehicle that struck him fled the scene prior to police arrival and the driver never contacted 911 to report the collision.

Police were able to determine from evidence gathered at the scene that the vehicle involved is a 2013-2015 Nissan Sentra (unknown color). The vehicle will have a missing front grill and most likely will have damage in the area of the front bumper, hood, and windshield.
