A Buford man was sent to the hospital as a result of a home invasion

BUFORD — A Buford man was transported to the hospital with minor injuries following a home invasion early Saturday morning.

Police say that at around 7 a.m., the Gwinnett County Police Department received a call reporting a home invasion on Primrose Park Road.

According to police, the residents of the home were tied up after three black males with Jamaican accents broke in through a back window. The thieves stole cash from the residence. Once the thieves left, the family members were able to escape and alert a neighbor to call the police.

One of the residents sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital.

Police say the intruders wore surgical masks and claimed to be police officers after they entered the residence. They are believed to be driving a small, dark colored SUV.
