Georgians share Memorial Day remembrances

This post is more than 1 year old.

For most Georgians, Memorial Day is the kickoff to summer. Some spent the day at the pool, some have hosted barbecues, many have commented on the extreme temperatures over this three day weekend. But as much fun as today is, it remains a day to honor fallen soldiers who fought and died for freedom.

Throughout the state, people have been posting their Memorial Day remembrances and tributes to loved ones who died at war. Most poignant of these posts have been the ones accompanied by photographs of young men and women who went to war never to return home.

Don’t let Memorial Day pass you by, before you look at these words and these faces who gave you the freedom to celebrate on this day.
