The first 3 hours of parking will be free in Savannah on Small Business Saturday

In an effort to promote Small Business Saturday, all City of Savannah parking will be free for the first three hours on November 24.

City of Savannah Mayor Eddie DeLoach was joined Monday in Ellis Square by representatives from the Small Business Chamber of Commerce and the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center to announce the City’s proclamation naming Nov. 24, Small Business Saturday in Savannah. This is also a national initiative which began in 2010 and was backed by a Senate resolution starting in 2011.

“Small Business Saturday is my personal favorite day of the year to go shopping,” said Director of Business Opportunity Manny Dominguez.” We are excited to support this initiative for the third year in a row.”

Shop Small Savannah will have a tent in Ellis Square with information on participating businesses, coupons, shopping bags and trolley rides by Old Savannah Tours tailored to small business shoppers.
