GBI: Former deputy arrested for sexual misconduct in exchange for dropping charges

The News: A former Monroe County deputy was arrested on charges of violating his oath of office today after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation found he made graphic comments to a suspect in exchange for having her charges dismissed.

The Story: According to the GBI, former deputy Bill Miller made graphic comments to a woman he had recently arrested in exchange for dismissal of the charges against her on August 14. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office requested a GBI investigation into the allegations of sexual misconduct and Miller was subsequently arrested on Thursday.
