A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with the April 1 shooting of 3-year-old T’Rhigi Craig in Decatur.

DeKalb County Police have not released the name of the suspect, but say he has been charged with murder.

While police were initially told the shot that killed T’Rhigi as he slept in his carseat came from a passing vehicle, after interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage, police determined the shot actually came from the gas station near the intersection of Eastland and Bouldercrest roads.

“The loss of T’Rhigi is tragic and senseless. It is my hope that this arrest will bring some sense of comfort and closure to his family,” said Police Chief James W. Conroy said in a statement.

Police detectives are still trying to locate one witness who was at the gas station but has not come forward. The witness can be seen on surveillance footage talking on a cell phone while entering the gas station. Photos are below.
